My Protector
Chapter 7
As soon as you opened the castle doors, you found yourself waking up once again. However, instead of being in your room, simple room with a wooden floor, blue curtains and a box filled with toys--it was a room unfamiliar to your eyes; a room with gold curtains, floors, and light colored furniture.
Just where in the world were you?
The sudden sounds of soft whispers caught your attention when you looked down from the couch you were sleeping on, you noticed a group of sea shells and oysters talking to each other and immediately scattered when they noticed you were now awake.
'Sea shells?' You blinked in confusion. Why are there sea shells in a place like this? Unless...
You then sniffed at the air, the scent of sea salt filled your nostrils and you finally knew where you were.
You were in Sandy's castle!
Quickly kicking off the blankets you silently followed the shells in hopes that they will lead you to your sandy friend.
And thankfully they did.
~
As you continued on, you noticed there were more than just shells inside the castle. There were also starfishes, turtles, and even mermaids spending most of their time here. And speaking of mermaids one of them with red hair was brushing a hand through your friend's hair as she appeared to be singing a soft lullaby.
"Sandy!"
The mermaid shushed you once she heard you and glared at you with hard eyes, and you quickly closed your mouth. When she saw no danger from you, the mermaid motioned for you to come over and you obeyed. "You need to gently shake him," the mermaid softly whispered. "This little one is very sensitive."
And that's what you did. With just one small shake, Sandy slowly opened his golden eyes to meet your (Eye color) ones. He blinked a couple of times before registering who you were. You are (Name), his close friend.
"Hey," You greeted.
Sandy returned the greeting with a fond smile.
"How are you feeling Sandy?"
Sandy gave you an image of a thumbs up to tell you he was okay.
"Good, good."
"?" Sandy asked if anything was wrong.
"Nothing's wrong," You replied. "I'm just amazed with everything that's happened. And now here we are inside the castle that we made! With walking sea shells and real life mermaids! Oh I knew they were real!"
Sandy silently chuckled at your childish wonder. It reminded him just how much he missed the times when he was like that as well; so naive and fully unaware of the dangers that may lurk. The sandman found himself frowning at the thought. Unlike how he was in the past, Sandy knew you were different. Since you were a small age, you knew what it was like to lose so much and have so little to relay on. It was something he had to protect and make sure it doesn't become the next thing to be further destroyed. Because he knew it took a lot of care to repair the damage.
A sudden cry of a mare filled Sanderson's ears, stiffening him in fear. But a small hand on his shoulder snapped him out of it.
"You don't look so good," you stated with worry. "Are you sure you're okay?"
Sandy reassured you by patting you on the head and trying to usher you back to your dreams but to no avail.
"But I can't leave you here by yourself Sandy, you look too pale! There might be a chance for you to get hurt if I'm not around! So please, let me stay with you a little longer okay?"
With a small sigh, Sandy finally agreed and let you hold him close while humming a faint tune that your brother once sang to you.
The mermaids and sea creatures that were once there had quietly left, leaving the two of you to yourselves in comfortable silence.

Rise of a Guardian: Chapter Three
~Snow day?~
Jack Frost was bored.
It wasn't something new, he was bored a lot, especially in the warmer months. It was the middle of November, and it was still pretty warm outside and so he couldn't manage to work up a good snowstorm yet.
He sighed and rode the winds to Jamie's house, even though he knew Jamie couldn't play today. Jamie had the flu, and so did some of his other friends. All the others where on fall break vacations.
Jack slowed down and approached the boys 2nd floor window. He peered inside of his room, checking for the boy. The walls where covered in tons of crayon pictures of him and Jack and other guardians together. On

~The Girl with the Blue Scarf~
Jack Frost awoke to the sounds of winter birds serenading the new born sun. It was a wonderful way to wake up from a night of sweet, undisturbed dreaming. No nightmares, no noises from traffic of the city; It was a dream come true.
As soon as he opened his eyes he was met with an extreme display of color spread all across the morning sky. It was visible between the gaps in the foliage of his sleeping tree, and it shone down on the snow giving it a pinkish hue. Jack stretched his long arms as he let out a yawn. He hadn't been this refreshed in a long time!
He climbed down from his tree and floated down to the

~Lost and found~
“Emma! Emma where are you? Can you hear me?” Jack screamed over the wind, calling for the lost girl. But there was no answer to his frantic calls, only the harsh wind and the fast falling snow. His throat was getting soar and voice sounded horse. He cursed himself, this was all his fault.
He had flown into the storm about 5 yards before he could stop himself. He had been flying too fast to see that there was a storm until he was deep in it. He heard Emma calling to him, and he followed her voice out of the blinding snowstorm. He flew back to the cliff edge but by the time he got there she was gone.
She had be
